ABOUT US THE Fresco
Institute-Italia

The Fresco Institute–Italia, created in 2015, is acting as a support for the activities of Italian sites that are currently providing clinical care and performing research in the field of movement disorders and the activities of the The Marlene and Paolo Fresco Institute for Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders at NYU Langone Health.

Its main aim is to support the Fresco Poles of Excellence Network in Italy, creating highly qualified centers that respond to the criteria of “Centers of Excellence”, as defined by the National Parkinson Foundation. This will be accomplished through joint research projects, clinical and scientific knowledge transfer as well as by providing meaningful educational opportunities for young physicians and scientists who wish to specialize in Parkinson’s disease and related movement disorders.

The Institute, with its collaborations and synergies, has been created thanks to the vision, passion, and support of Paolo and Marlene Fresco.
